ERTH-HydRocks Lightweight Soil is an engineered soil designed to be lightweight for use on-structural conditions such as roof top gardens.  This blend achieves this lightweight requirement, while maintaining the characteristics of permeability, stability and fertility, which are essential to a successful landscape system. This Intensive soil media is generally recommended for use on structures designed to hold soil depths of 8 inches or greater, and also designed to support a wide variety of plant material, which is common in Intensive greenroofs.

 Use for: Intensive greenroofs and planters on structures which are designed to support a wide variety of plant material with general soil depths of at least 8”.

ERTH-HydRocks Lightweight Structural Soil is an engineered soil designed to support hardscapes (pavers, concrete, etc.) on structures having strict load limits, while still allowing root growth from plants to expand into the soil underneath the hardscapes and thrive as part of the landscape system. This engineered soil is often used in conjuntion with ERTH-HydRocks lightweight Intensive and Extensive Soils as a lightweight landscape soil system on rooftops which allows for a diverse, creative landscape containing hardscapes along with a wide variety of plant materials.
